DFS Playbook: Week 2

Updated: Sep 20, 2020

Welcome back to all those who cashed with me last week and welcome to all the newbies this week that can join in the fun. I played on both Fanduel (174pts) and DraftKings (167pts) using my Macho Quatro on both sites of Aaron Rodgers/Julio Jones/Josh Jacobs/TJ Hockenson. Like I always say, up is up and between this and using JT's best bets article it was a positive week.

Let’s jump into week 2!!!

Sunday Update: This week my 'core' players, my MACHO QUATRO, is Parris Campbell, Aaron Rodgers, Derrick Henry, and Allen Robionson. EVERY. SINGLE. LINEUP

QUARTERBACK

Aaron Rodgers (6900/7900) Going back to him this week with a great Matchup vs DET and a beautiful 49.5 total. He always rises up against divisional opponents, and the Lions' secondary is wounded, with both Desmond Trufant and Justin Coleman expected to return. He looks like a man posessed.

Matthew Stafford (6200/7200) same game. And like him just as much at a cheaper price. Like to run it back with Devante Adams for the correlation play.

Matt Ryan (6600/7700) looks like a shootout vsDal with a 53.5 total. Expect the same this week with a quiet 24pts. 36 targets, 27 receptions and over 300 yards to just the wide receivers last week.

Dak Prescott (6900/8300) notice a trend here as we target a few of these possible monster games. The game total is always my starting point, and the Falcons/Cowboys is the highest on the board. He is a little pricey but worth every dollar if you go here. The Falcons got shredded by Russell WIlson last week and I expect the same result from Dak in this spot.

Josh Allen (6700/8200) this is a little risky but the upside is too good to ignore. Cam Newton beat the Dolphins single-handedly last week with 75 rushing yards and 2 TD, and Allen compares quite similarly to Newton. He will pay this price tag off in cash games with half of what Newton did on the ground last week.

RUNNING BACK

Derrick Henry (7900/8300) safer pick here if you don’t want to use one of the elite backs. If he adds some catches as they have discussed then this could be a tournament winner. The Jaguars alllowed 17 receptions, 142 yards, and 2 TD through the air to the running backs last week. If the Titans can get Henry to 6-7 targets, he'll break the slate at about 15% ownership.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire (7400/8000)  A big first week and I’m sure the helium will continue as long as he stays healthy. Expect bigger games in this offense and always have a piece of the Chiefs. Andy Reid will make it a point to get him going at the goal line. If Joey Bosa sits the game out, he may be ther RB1 on Sundaywith under 10% ownership, which seems silly.

Jonathan Taylor (5700/5800) My boy Mack is a gonner. This will be a huge breakout spot for the future(now) workhorse. Named the starter already and the price is very nice. Hoping Nyheim Hines hype keeps Taylor's ownership down, but nonetheless a very safe cash game play likely around 20% ownership

Raheem Mostert (6400/6500) San Fran loves to run the ball, Garoppolo only threw NINE targets to WR last week. The Jets are horrible, San Francisco should be in control early and grind it out. Expect 20 plus touches, better play in 1/2 PPR set up on Fanduel.

Benny Snell (4500/4600) Monster game last week and price has not moved. If Conner is out again this is a lock and load play for cash and GPP. As of now, it appears as if Conner may be active, which makes Snell a sneaky GPP option if under 10% ownership.

WIDE RECEIVER

Davante Adams (8100/8600) monster points are coming on this game and he is coming off 17 targets. A smart play on all sites. He is the WR1 moving forward. Chalkiest play on the slate, you'll have 25% of your friends doing the same thing.

Allen Robinson (7000/6400) This dude is pissed off. He said he is over his temper tantrum and ready to focus on helping the Bears win games. We saw Stephon Diggs go berzerk in the same situation last year. The Giants secondary is the perfect oil can to grease this squeaky wheel. I'm firing him up in cash and GPP. Should be about 7-10% owned

Cee Dee Lamb (4700/5200) Big upside talent in the slot who should get a ton of targets with the loss of Jarwin. Was on the field for 82% of snaps last week, but the stat line was thin. There's confidence in him from Dak and the coaching staff. With this kind of talent, I want to be in BEFORE the breakout while he is under 10% owned, because the bandwagon will fill up fast after that first 70 yard TD.

Calvin Ridley (6800/7100) Pass on Julio then make sure you load up here. Julio should line up against rookie CB Trevon Diggs, so the help is going that way. Ridley had 12 targets last week and a nice value. Always seems to be Ryan's first look in the red zone. Will be double digit owned, a little chalky. Parris Campbell (4500/5300) major talent here who is finally healthy. This is my favorite value on the slate. Nine targets in the slot with Rivers who can’t throw deep anymore. Big upside, should be in single digit ownership. Jack Doyle is out, Zach Pascal is iffy and now Michael Pittman looks doubtful . The Vikings is Stack Attack's favorite defense to pick on right now.

TIGHT END

TJ Hockenson (5200/5600) a great first week and if golladay sits again I am all in here for this shoot out. Note: I don't see any TE really going over 10% ownership. Play who fits best this week and don't worry about ownership.

Noah Fant (4400/5300) great value here with big upside. He won’t stay this cheap for long, GPP only against tough Steelers defense.

Jimmy Graham (3800/5500) solid pick here with not much upside. He does get into the end zone as we have seen in the past and Bears love their TE. Best price on Fanduel.

Hunter Henry (5100/6100) Healthy and seems to be a favorite target of Tyrod with 8 targets last week. They will be playing from behind all day.

Chris Herndon (3400/5100) cheap and could help you pay up elsewhere. Jets will be down and throwing, with Jamison Crowder ruled out he should be a primary option for Sam Darnold..

TEAM DEFENSE

Titans (4200, 3500) vs Jags 42 total and a 9 point favorite. Good value here. Got burned last week by the Colts in this spot but I'm going back to the well again.

49ers (5000, 4000) 41 total playing the Jets. They are pricey but have big upside with a possible(likely) pick 6. Most DFS players shy away from paying up for DEF, don't be afraid here.

Bills (4900, 3900) 41 total and plan to squish the fish. A big price tag but will be worth it here. We saw Fitztragic last week, I expect to see even more of that with Devante Parker questionable.

Let’s have a great week. Focus on the breaking news. Hit me up on Twitter with any questions @amac22nj, and keep an eye out there for any updates and which of these plays will make up this week's Macho Quatro!!!
