Waiver Wire Week 10
Week 9 has come and gone, and it brought some great games. Tua Tagovailoa, who we
pounded the table for, has arrived. The Chargers continue to lose close games, and oh CMC is
hurt again. I hope you held onto Mike Davis. Every manager needs to be checking the waivers
to see if someone dropped Davis ASAP! For dynasty and keeper leagues, this is the time to sell
sell sell if you’re not able to make a playoff push. Get those rookie picks because there are
some stars coming out.
RUNNING BACK
Mike Davis / Panthers / 73% rostered
Odds are he is kept. For those of you who don’t have Davis, check your waivers right now and
see if the manager who had him dropped once CMC was activated. The only reason he is on
this list is for the outside chance he was dropped. This is exactly why Jeff had him in his "second half league winners" article. Davis has been a league winner filling in for CMC, and if he misses just one more game Davis can do that yet again.
Duke Johnson / Texans / 24% rostered
David Johnson left Sundays game and is now in the concussion protocol. Duke now becomes an
RB1 on Houston, and a low end RB2/flex play in week 10 if David Johnson can’t go. Filling in he
had 16 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown to go with 4 catches for 32 yards. He plays the
Browns next week in hopes of finally taking advantage of being an RB1.
Matt Breida / Dolphins / 25% rostered
With Myles Gaskin injured. Jordan Howard and Patrick Laird were seemingly tasked with the
starting role. Insert Matt Breida who should be able to come in and be fantasy relevant. Low
end flex/RB3 type numbers.
Tevin Coleman / 49ers / 24% rostered
Coleman should be returning this week from injury, and will be taking over for JaMycal Hasty
who extremely underperformed. This backfield is a disaster, but right now it seems as if
Coleman should be able to come in and start.
JD McKissic / Football Team / 24% rostered
Antonio Gibson is the main back to own in Washington, but don’t forget about JD McKissic who
is quietly putting up solid flex numbers. He has done nothing but produce. He only had 3
carries for 17 yards, but the big producing came via the air. He had 9!! catches for 65 yards. 4
out of the last 5 weeks he has seen 6 or more targets, and needs to be rostered at this point.
Wayne Gallman / Giants / 25% rostered
Devonta Freeman is still injured, and if he is forced to miss another game, Gallman is worth a
flier at a low end flex play. He had 14 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown with a single catch
for 9 yards. Not the most appealing play, but a decent flier if needed against the Eagles prior to
the Giants bye.
WIDE RECEIVER
Allen Lazard / Packers / 38% rostered
Lazard is expected to be activated for next weeks game. This is your last chance to grab the
WR2 for GB. The last game he played, he had 146 yards receiving and seemed to be developing
chemistry with Rodgers. Grab him now!
Tim Patrick / Broncos / 21% rostered
Patrick played this past Sunday and saw 9 targets. He only hauled in 4 of those for 29 yards and
a touchdown. Patrick won’t command a high waiver claim, but he has seen consistent targets
in every game he has played, and merits WR3 discussion.
Jakobi Meyers/ Patriots/ 13% rostered
With double digit PPR points in now three straight games in the absence of Julian Edelman, Meyers has burst on the scene as Cam Newton's favorite target, with a whopping 40% target share on Monday night. The best Pats lawfirm name since BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Meyers should hold solid WR3 value for the next few weeks as Bill Belicheck clearly has his team in evaluation mode.
Jalen Reagor / Eagles / 24% rostered
The Eagles first round rookie returned last week from injury prior to the Eagles bye. The ultra
talented WR is set to play this week outside Travis Fulgham. He should be an immediate add
for any team in need of a WR.
Darnell Mooney / Bears / 14% rostered
Mooney is developing excellent trust from Nick Foles. He saw 11 targets on Sunday. He
brought in 5 catches for 43 yards. From week 3 to now, he has seen 5 or more targets in each
game. Mooney needs to be rostered.
Curtis Samuel / Panthers / 30% rostered
DJ Moore and Robby Anderson get all the attention in Carolina. Samuel has gone under the
radar and produced. He has a touchdown in his last 3 games, 4 overall (1 rush). This past
Sunday he caught all 9 of his targets for 105 yards and a touchdown. Carolina has also been
using Samuel for running plays as well.
TIGHT END
Austin Hooper / Browns / 41% rostered
With OBJ out for the year, and Hooper set to return, he is a must add for the TE needy teams.
The odds are, Hooper was dropped for not playing for numerous weeks, and now is the time to
grab him.
Irv Smith / Vikings / 7% rostered
2 catches for 2 touchdowns. That’s the definition of touchdown dependent. Irv smith saw 4
targets and had 10 yards on those 2 catches. He seems to be gaining the trust of Kirk Cousins
and is a touchdown dependent TE2.
Logan Thomas / Football Team / 37% rostered
Alex Smith should be starting for the remainder of the season. Thomas saw 6 targets, but only
caught 3 passes for 28 yards. He has seen 4 or more targets in every game this season, and
with a new QB, there is a chance Thomas could really benefit.
Ross Dwelley/Jordan Reed / 49ers
I threw both 49ers TEs in here as one. Reed was working his way back from IR, but was targeted
2 times versus Dwelley’s 3. It’s a situation to watch here. Reed may end up being the long term
play if he stays healthy.
DEFENSE
Saints
Playing the weak 49ers offense now after only giving up 3 points to Tampa makes them a top
add.
Ravens
Patriots do not look good. Baltimore is a decent play this week.
Packers
Playing the Jaguars helps a lot. GB is a great play this week.
