Waiver Wire Week 12

Week 11 is done and it brought us some wild finishes. Chargers and Cowboys won, Jets still

don’t have a win, and the Steelers keep rolling, although if you look deep, they might just be a paper tiger. Most leagues only have 2 games remaining in the season before the playoffs. If you’re in #SFBX with us, then we have one to go before the big dance. Looking to clinch my playoff birth this week if it’s not already clinched. Joe Burrow’sinjury is awful. For those in SFlex leagues, now we’re scrambling. Speaking of QB’s, it may be time up for Carson Wentz in Philly, despite somehow being in first place.

RUNNING BACK

Gus Edwards / Ravens / 29% rostered

This year with COVID has been wild. Now JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram have tested positive.

Edwards now becomes a sure fire RB1 and a must grab off waivers. Thursday night they play

the Steelers, but even in a tough matchup (assuming the game happens), Edwards needs to be

rostered ASAP playing in a high powered offense.

Justice Hill / Ravens / 0% rostered

With Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins out due to COVID, Gus Edwards becomes the lead back.

However, Edwards isn’t in the clear just yet. Was he in close contact in the RB room with

them? Now that’s pure speculation, but if that’s true, Justice Hill becomes a sneaky good add

that I am looking to grab all over until I see news that Edwards is cleared. Either way, he is a competent pass catcher, there will be a role this week, so he needs to be added.

James White / Patriots / 40% rostered

White has underperformed all season, so much so that his roster percentage dropped a ton.

With Rex Burkhead looking at a torn ACL, and Sony Michel still out this past week, White looks

to resume his original role as the key pass catcher. He saw 8 targets, and brought in 6 of them

for 64 yards. Damien Harris is the main back, but White should slide back into the consistent

role he had last season. He is a PPR must grab.

Frank Gore / Jets / 10% rostered

With La’Mical Perine injured, 37 year old Frank Gore takes charge yet again. Perine is looking at

a multi week absence. It’s a safe bet that the first play next Sunday will be a HB Dive up the

middle. This past Sunday, Gore took 15 carries for 61 yards and his first touchdown of the

season giving him 1 touchdown in each of the last 3 decades. He also brought in 2 catches for

10 yards. Adam Gase seems intent on giving Gore carries, and even though the team is awful,

fantasy success is driven by volume.

Carlos Hyde / Seahawks / 46% rostered

It’s unknown what is going on with Chris Carson. He was supposed to return this past Thursday

night, but was inactive. With Carson’s health a major question, Hyde took over the lead back

role Thursday and ran. He took 14 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown to go with 2 catches

for 16 yards.

Wayne Gallman / Giants / 55% rostered

Devanta Freeman is on IR, and as I stated with Frank Gore, volume is the key to success in

fantasy. However, the Giants are somehow in a division title hunt. Gallman will act as the

Giants lead back coming off a 2 touchdown performance before the bye week. If he is

somehow available and snuck through week on waivers, grab him!

WIDE RECEIVER

Michael Pittman Jr / Colts / 44% rostered

Pittman by no means should be on waivers. If he is, you’re seeing the start of his breakout, and

he needs to be rostered. He had 3 catches on all 3 of his targets for 66 yards and a touchdown.

He is starting to put it together, and needs to be added before he continues his breakout this

coming week. I just traded for him a few days ago in dynasty and my lord does it feel good.

Allen Lazard / Packers / 42% rostered

Lazard was on a snap count this past Sunday, but it was good to see him finally back on the

field. He only saw 4 targets and 2 catches for 18 yards, but he is being eased back in. I fully

expect Lazard to regain his WR2 status in Green Bay, and anyone catching passes from Aaron

Rodgers is worth an add.

Tim Patrick / Broncos / 21% rostered

Patrick is developing into a consistent Flex play week in and week out. This past week he saw 8

targets with 5 catches for 119 yards. He has seen 6 or more targets in each of his last 3 games

and continues to produce.

Denzel Mims / Jets / 5% rostered

The 2 nd round rookie from the Jets continues to show flashes. If only they had a QB. Mims is a

major dynasty buy with the thought of catching passes from Trevor Lawrence or Justin Fields

next season. He saw 8 targets for the 2 nd week in a row and had 3 catches for 71 yards. Mims is

drawing flags, and he is looking like a legit steal in the 2 nd for the Jets.

Breshad Perriman / Jets / 11% rostered

All Perriman needs is a QB. Flacco has missed Perriman for walk in touchdowns. He did come

up with a touchdown on Sunday on 4 targets. He brought in 2 catches for 54 yards and a

touchdown. Watching the Jets as I sadly do, it’s obvious Perriman would do so much better

with a decent QB (Trevor Lawrence?). Perriman is a sneaky dynasty buy if he is catching passes

from Lawrence or Fields next season.

Rashard Higgins / Browns / 12% rostered

He isn’t a flashy add, but in a season of numerous injuries and COVID designations, Higgins

brings volume to the table. He saw 4 targets and had 3 catches for 65 yards. He was second on

the team in targets on Sunday and a trip to play the 1 win Jaguars is on deck.

TIGHT END

Jordin Akins / Texans / 4% rostered

Akins became the top TE target this past Sunday in Houston. He saw 6 total targets and

brought in 5 of those for 83 yards. Watson heated up and a matchup against the Lions on

Thanksgiving awaits. If you’re in need of a streaming TE, Akins may be it.

Jordan Reed / 49ers / 16% rostered

As long as Reed stays healthy, he is worth a flier. His last game before the bye, he saw 6

targets, and is developing chemistry with Mullins.

QUARTERBACK

Jalen Hurts / Eagles / 4% rostered

We here at Stack Attack are always trying to keep you one step ahead in the rookie QB

madness. We pounded the table to pick up Herbert and Tua before they had the starting jobs.

Now it looks like Wentz’s time in Philly is looking to be done. Insert Jalen Hurts. The 2 nd round

rookie is going to be the hot topic of a lot of Philly radio stations to get the starting nod. If

you’re in a SFlex league and just lost Joe Burrow or Drew Brees, Hurts is a no brainer to take a

flier on.

Ryan Finley / Bengals / 0% rostered

Pure desperation add here if you lost Burrow, or even had Drew Brees. He may skyrocket in

price being so close to the playoffs, but I would at least put a minimal bid in to see if you can

snag him.

Defenses

Dolphins

The Jets have actually been scoring points, but are still giving up good enough fantasy points to

stream against. Forgive Miami for the road dud last week.

Browns

The Jaguars got crushed by the Steelers defense, and I expect that to continue against the

Browns.

Rams

Yes, it’s a divisional matchup and they usually are close, but if I can stream against Nick Mullins,

I will.

Seahawks

The Eagles are a mess, and that’s the perfect streaming recipe, especially if they turn to Hurts.

Packers

Another divisional game, but the Bears right now don’t have either of their Qbs healthy.

Something to monitor.
