Waiver Wire week 13 ????

Before I go into this, just wanted to toot my own horn for a minute and note that in year 1 of the Scott Fish Bowl #SFBX, Stack Attack finishes 8-4 with a playoff birth clinched. Pushing over 160 average points a week, and hoping to make some noise in the playoffs!

Week 12 isn’t over yet. A Wednesday slate awaits us with Baltimore and Pittsburgh set to play

as of this writing. Dalvin Cook and Josh Jacobs suffered non-serious injuries, and Alvin Kamara

misses Drew Brees. Most leagues are in the final week of their regular season. A tip I like to do

this late in the season is think one week ahead and add a streaming defense for the following

week and roster 2 defenses. I don’t support this at all except come playoff time.

RUNNING BACK

Devontae Booker / Raiders / 9% rostered

Josh Jacobs claims he will play, but an ankle injury puts his status in question. A fantastic

matchup against the Jets awaits making Booker a solid RB2 if in fact Jacobs is out. Booker has

had 3 games over 60 yards rushing this year, including 1 over 80 yards.

Cam Akers / Rams / 29% rostered

Cam is slowly working his way up the depth chart. A 61 yard run leading to a touchdown will

help your chances. It is still a crowded backfield, but Akers seems to more and more take

control. This past week he had 9 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown. Try and grab Akers, and

hope he can breakout in the playoffs.

Frank Gore / Jets / 25% rostered

0-11 but Adam Gase LOVES Frank Gore. I’m pretty certain I called the first play of the game last

week, a HB dive up the middle with Gore, and I stand with that for week 13. He had 18 carries

for 74 yards. He is just reliable and you know what you’re getting. He even added in 3 catches

for 12 yards. The Jets are terrible, but volume is king in fantasy, and Gore is getting volume.

Alexander Mattison / Vikings / 32% rostered

Dalvin Cook’s endurance is about to be put to the test. If Cook were to go down, Mattison

becomes the number 1 waiver add for the playoffs. Get ahead of the game and stash him if you

can.

Ito Smith / Falcons / 1% rostered

With Todd Gurley out Sunday, Brian Hill was the popular pick to lead the backfield. Ito Smith

actually came away looking better Sunday with 12 rushes for 65 yards and a touchdown. He

also added in 4 catches for 10 yards. If Gurley misses more time, it seems this is a true split

backfield.

WIDE RECEIVER

Nelson Agholor / Raiders / 43% rostered

My personal favorite add of the week. He came back down to Earth this week with 5 catches

for 54 yards, and may cause some people to ignore him or drop him. The Jets are next. Keenan

Allen and DeVante Parker just went off on them and I expect Agholor to do the same. He is a

boom or bust pick, and I think he has the potential to break out in a big way here.

Allen Lazard / Packers / 39% rostered

The Aaron Rodgers revenge tour continues, and the Bears next up. Enter Allen Lazard. I have

been putting him here as an IR stash most of the season, and anyone catching passes from

Rodgers deserves a look. 4 catches on 6 targets for 23 yards and a touchdown isn’t anything

flashy, but he seems to be building back his chemistry in GB.

T.Y. Hilton / Colts / 38% rostered

Finally!! Hilton is back! He saw 5 targets, and brought in 4 catches for 81 yards and a

touchdown. Maybe this is the game he finally brings it all together. It is worth a flier as the

waivers seem to be a lot drier this week then weeks past. Hilton has all the talent. If he can put

it together down the stretch he could be a steal.

Breshad Perriman / Jets / 12% rostered

The Jets offense is awful. Perriman, however, is just seeking good QB play. He did see 8 targets

for 4 catches and 79 yards with Sam Darnold back under center. Don’t expect much, but WR3

numbers aren’t out of the question here.

TIGHT END

Trey Burton / Colts / 19% rostered

In a season where TEs are not so top heavy as seasons past, it is difficult to find a TE1. Trey

Burton is on his way to a level of consistency. 6 targets on Sunday for 3 catches for 42 yards

and a touchdown. This marks back to back weeks with a score, and he seems to be gaining the

trust of Phillip Rivers over the other TEs.

Kyle Rudolph / Vikings / 15% rostered

With Irv Smith Jr out, Rudolph becomes fantasy relevant. He saw a total of 8 targets, bringing

in 7 catches for 68 yards. If Irv Smith continues to miss time, Rudolph is a must start coming

into a matchup with the Jaguars who are very weak to opposing TEs.

Jordan Reed / 49ers / 25% rostered

Reed didn’t do much Sunday, bringing in 2 catches for 18 yards, but he did see 6 targets. Reed

is a pure plug in play hoping for a good result. I wouldn’t start him with much confidence, but

with the TE field so scare, you may not have a choice.

QUARTERBACK

Jalen Hurts / Eagles / 5% rostered

A pure stash. Wentz still doesn’t look the same anymore, and it’s only a matter of time before

Hurts gets his chance. He is a great dynasty stash.

Ryan Fitzpatrick / Dolphins / 20% rostered

With Tua injured, and possibly looking at a longer absence, Fitzmagic came through helping the

Jets tank throwing for 2 touchdowns this past Sunday. If you’re getting crushed in injuries, Fitz

is a nice rental.

Defense

Seahawks

Seattle is a top add as they play the Giants, Jets, and Washington 3 weeks in a row.

Dolphins

No Burrow means Cincy may have a hard time all game in Miami.

Packers

Philly can’t seem to do anything right. With Wentz struggling, and the O-line struggling as well,

GBs defense makes for a nice add.

Raiders
