Waiver Wire Week 7

Week 6 wrapped up with a MNF double header, something I think we can get used to. Some big injuries in Philly as Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz will be looking to miss games. Raheem Mostert is looking like he will land on IR, and Joe Mixon and Mark Ingram both left their games with injuries. Some names on here will be repeats and some have graduated from this list after being on here for weeks (Tee Higgins and Justin Herbert to name a couple). Not really any league winners on the wire this week, it's all injury/bye replacement/depth types. Wouldn't really go more than 10-15% of FAAB on anyone, unless it's a desperation move to fill a lineup spot.

RUNNING BACK

Boston Scott / 14% rostered / Eagles

Miles Sanders will miss this Thursday’s game against the Giants. Boston Scott becomes a must add for at least this week only. He didn’t do much against the Ravens, only having 2 carries and 2 catches. If you need a Miles Sanders replacement, this is a must add and hold, especially if you roster Sanders.

JaMycal Hasty / 0% rostered / 49ers

No I am not putting Jerrick McKinnon on here. Yes, if he is available he may be worth a late flier add with Mostert out. Hasty, the UDFA rookie, took the bulk of the carries going 9 for 37 yards while McKinnon carried 6 times for 18 yards with 2 catches for 10 yards. All signs are pointing to a 50/50 split. Hasty didn’t have a target in the passing game however. Your league mates are going to be sprinting to grab McKinnon, while you can get Hasty under the radar who may even produce the same. If you're bidding on JaMycal, don't be hasty.

J.D. McKissic / Football Team / 12% rostered

For all the Antonio Gibson hype, J.D. McKissic has held his own and earned a split in the backfield. He had 8 carries for 41 yards and 6 catches for 43 yards. In PPR leagues, McKissic holds solid flex value at this rate and is a nice bye week replacement. He has carved this role and has been pretty consistent producing the last few weeks.

La’Mical Perine / Jets / 17% rostered

Adam Gase and the Jets are a disaster. Perine likely has no value until Gase is fired, as he is content running Frank Gore into the ground instead of evaluating a rookie back. If Gase gets fired or the Jets somehow find a trade partner for Gore, Perine would immediately get looks in the backfield. He has shown burst, but needs to be given the opportunity. Gase’s clock is ticking, once he’s fired, I’d look to add Perine.

WIDE RECEIVER

Tim Patrick / Broncos / 18% rostered

Tim Patrick has been in the middle of a breakout. The last 3 weeks have shown he is for real. The window is slamming shut and this is your last chance to grab him. He had 4 catches for 101 yards on 8 targets. Patrick is developing chemistry with Drew Lock, and with Noah Fant still out, Patrick is grabbing all of those targets. Patrick is looking like a solid WR2/Flex play.

Travis Fulgham / Eagles / 31%

Fulgham should NOT be on your waiver wire. If he is, he needs to be added. The Eagles may slowly be getting their WRs back, but Fulgham has carved out a major role in this offense. He followed up last week’s performance with 6 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. With Zach Ertz out, and the Eagles playing the Giants Thursday night, Fulgham is a WR2/Flex consideration.

James Washington / Steelers / 10% rostered

Juju is majorly slumping into a mega fantasy draft bust. Chase Claypool is looking like a solid rookie. Insert James Washington. He grabbed 4 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown on 7 targets. With Dionte Johnson absent, Washington stepped up and produced for the Steelers. If Johnson misses another game, Washington may be worth a WR3/Flex flier.

Keelan Cole / Jaguars / 29% rostered

Cole had a great game on Sunday. He brought in 6 catches for 143 yards on 9 targets. Cole is coming off as a burst type receiver, making up his points in big gains, but he has seen 5 or more targets in every game and makes for a decent WR3/4.

Preston Williams / Dolphins / 25% rostered

While 2 catches for 18 yards and a touchdown is nothing to go crazy about, Williams quietly scored in 3 out of his last 4 games. DeVante Parker was injured on Sunday, and if he is forced to miss time, Williams stock will soar as Miami’s WR1.

Breshad Perriman / Jets / 8% rostered

Alright hear me out. Joe Flacco was awful on Sunday. If you watched like I sadly did, then you will notice Perriman was often getting wide open. If he was hit in stride and scored when he beat the defenders, he would be a lot higher on this list. The Jets will be playing from behind, meaning Perriman should get more looks.

Christian Kirk/ Cardinals/ 41% rostered

The usage is limted, averaging 5.6 targets per game, but the playmaking ability is starting to pop, hauling in a long bomb TD on Monday night. The next two matchups are Seattle and the Dolhins which always yields fantasy goodness for the WR position. Once Larry Fitzgerald and his empty 5-7 weekly targets move on to greener pastures, we'll get the best of Kirk. Until then, eh.

Antonio Brown / FA / 4% rostered

He is 2 weeks away from being eligible to return. If you have the stash space, this may be worth an early flier just to hold for a few weeks and see what happens.

TIGHT END

Trey Burton / Colts / 21% rostered

If you had Zach Ertz, you are likely looking for a spot starter for the next several weeks. Trey Burton who had 4 catches for 58 yards and a touchdown on 5 targets. Oh! He also had a RUSHING touchdown on a 1 yard carry. Burton was involved in the offense, and looks to maintain that even when Mo Allie-Cox returns from injury. The Colts are on a bye week this coming week, which could allow you to grab Burton ahead of others.

Dallas Goedert / Eagles / 41% rostered

If you had Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert needs to be your top waiver claim. He is eligible to return off IR this week against the Giants and should fill right into the Zach Ertz role and bring in TE1/TE2 numbers.

Anthony Firkser / Titans / 0% rostered

Jonnu Smith left Sunday with an injury and Firkser (WHO?) came in and produced. He had 8 catches for 113 yards with a touchdown on 9 targets. If Jonnu is forced to miss any time, Firkser is an immediate TE1 value.

Irv Smith / Vikings / 8% rostered

Irv Smith had another solid performance Sunday. He had 4 catches for 55 yards on 5 targets. Smith enters the Vikings bye week getting more and more involved in the offense, and is a nice TE2/bye week replacement.

QUARTERBACK

Tua Tagovailoa / Dolphins / 6% rostered

Tua got some time Sunday against the Jets and went 2 for 2 for 9 yards and now the team has announced he will be the starter coming out of the bye. Tua is a must add if you have the space on your bench in a super flex league, and worth a stash in all formats, just in case he pops off.

STREAMING DEFENSES

Bills

They play the Jets, enough said. If Joe Flacco plays, then this is the number 1 defense.

Football Team

Andy Dalton has turned into a turnover machine for Dallas making Washington a sneaky add.

Cowboys

Kyle Allen isn’t a top tier QB, and the Cowboys defense is a complete desperation add. I wouldn’t go near them unless absolutely needed based on the matchup.

Rams

I am not sold on Nick Foles. I think the Rams may bounce back and put up a solid defensive performance against the Bears.
