Waiver Wire Week 9: 2022 Fantasy Football

\\\We are entering the double-digit weeks of the NFL season. Week 10 is upon us. This week we see byes from the New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, and Cincinnati Bengals. Please check your waiver wire for teams on byes from the previous weeks. A lot of them were dropped for bye-week replacements. Quarterbacks

Daniel Jones, New York Giants Espn Rostered: 44.6% Yahoo Rostered: 40% Daniel Jones is coming off a bye week, and there is a good chance someone dropped him in your league to make room for a bye-week replacement. Jones has been a reliable fantasy option outside of the Seattle game. He has the mobility to score points on the ground as well as in the air. Add Jones now if you need the option, as the Giants host the Texans this week.

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Fransisco 49ers Espn Rostered: 18.4% Yahoo Rostered: 39% Another quarterback coming off a bye week, Jimmy Garoppolo is surrounded by talent in San Fransisco. With the addition of Christian McCaffrey to an offense with George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel, Garoppolo has been positioned nicely for fantasy success and has been very consistent this year. In six-point touchdown leagues, he’s put up more than 20 points in the last four weeks. Running Backs

Jeff Wilson, Miami Dolphins Espn Rostered: 44.6% Yahoo Rostered: 52% Jeff Wilson was a waiver-wire gem early in the season. His recent trade to the Miami Dolphins has him in the same spot. In his first game with Miami, Wilson rushed nine times for 51 yards and caught all three of his targets for 21 yards and a touchdown. Wilson is looking like the starter in Miami and is worth a flex consideration in the meantime while he settles in Miami.

Chase Edmonds, Denver Broncos Espn Rostered: 48.3% Yahoo Rostered: 48% Recently traded from Miami in the Bradley Chubb deal, Chase Edmonds looks to take the lead-back role in Denver. Denver is coming off a bye week and has a backfield with Melvin Gordan and Latavius Murray. Now with Edmonds in the mix, it clouds the roles, but Edmonds has the talent to be the lead back. It may take a few weeks, but Edmonds is a nice stash if he is a free agent in your league.

Gus Edwards, Baltimore Ravens Espn Rostered: 37.5% Yahoo Rostered: 51% Gus Edwards missed Monday’s game with a hamstring injury, but it’s deemed mild. There is a chance Edwards was dropped in your league, making him a must-add. In his two starts, Edwards saw double-digit touches. Baltimore is on a bye next week, so he may go unclaimed, but this is a stash as he should be healthy for his return in week 11 against the Panthers.

Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Espn Rostered: 20.3% Yahoo Rostered: 34% Rachaad White is listed as the RB2 in Tampa Bay, but he is seeing the same volume as the starter, Leonard Fournette. Against the Rams, White rushed eight times for 27 yards and caught all three of his targets for seven yards. White seems to be working his way into a timeshare with Fournette and should be rostered if you have the space.

Kylin Hill, Green Bay Packers Espn Rostered: 0.1% Yahoo Rostered: 0% Aaron Jones left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. His status is now up in the air and leaves AJ Dillion as the starter. Kylin Hill would fill in as the RB2 in Green Bay if Aaron Jones were to miss any time. Seeing how the Packers liked to use two running backs in their system, gives Hill some deep-league value. Wide Receivers

Terrace Marshall Jr, Carolina Panthers Espn Rostered: 8.4% Yahoo Rostered: 6% Is the Terrace Marshall breakout finally here? Marshall caught three of six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown. While the stats don’t jump out, Marshall has put together back-to-back strong fantasy performances, seeing nine targets last week. He needs to be rostered at this point before he continues breaking out, and his rostered percentage soars.

Donovan Peoples-Jones, Cleveland Browns Espn Rostered: 12.6% Yahoo Rostered: 21% Donovan Peoples-Jones is quietly putting up a solid fantasy season. He may be readily available coming off a bye week. In a full-point PPR format, Peoples-Jones has put-up double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games, and his season high in targets is eleven. Peoples-Jones is an excellent flex pay going forward.

Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants Espn Rostered: 20.3% Yahoo Rostered: 25% Wan’Dale Robinson right now is the current WR1 on the Giants. With the trade of Kadarius Toney, Robinson looks to get all the attention for the rest of the season. Coming off a bye week, there is a good chance he is on your waiver wire and needs to be rostered. In two of his last three games, he put up double-digit fantasy points in a full PPR format.

Odell Beckham Jr, Free Agent Espn Rostered: 19.8% Yahoo Rostered: 23% Currently, Odell Beckham is a free agent. Beckham has told teams he is ready to sign by the start of December. Numerous teams have been linked to Beckham. The Giants, Rams, Cowboys, and Bills are just some of the names mentioned on the internet. If Beckham signs, he will provide some late playoff push value. If you can stash him, I would suggest doing it soon.

Scotty Miller, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Espn Rostered: 0.1% Yahoo Rostered: 0% Is Scotty Miller breaking out? Miller caught seven of eight targets for 53 yards on Sunday (while dropping the winning touchdown). Miller provides deep league consideration, although he is risky, if Russell Gage is injured, Miller should provide value.

Tight Ends

Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos

Espn Rostered: 28.9% Yahoo Rostered: 35% Need a tight-end replacement? Greg Dulcich was heating up right before the bye week. In a full PPR format, Dulcich has put-up double-digit fantasy points in all three games he’s played, and that’s with two different quarterbacks. If he can put up a solid week once again, he is going to soar to the top of all waiver claims. This is your chance to acquire him before the true breakout potentially occurs.

Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks Espn Rostered: 31.8% Yahoo Rostered: 10% Noah Fant has been inconsistent this season but has the potential to be a solid bye-week replacement. Fant caught five of six passes for 96 yards on Sunday. He only has one touchdown on the season, but with the way Geno Smith has been playing, Fant could break out more at any time.

Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears Espn Rostered: 27% Yahoo Rostered: 40% Cole Kmet was a popular breakout pick this summer, but now with the emergence of Justin Fields, Kmet is doing just that. On Sunday, he caught five of six targets for 41 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed twice for nine yards. While Justin Fields is breaking out, Kmet should be rostered, especially if he continues from Sunday. Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Espn Rostered: 5.1% Yahoo Rostered: 11% Cade Otton is seeming to have a good game every other week. On Sunday, he caught five of six passes for 68 yards and the game-winning touchdown. Otton is proving his talent while Cameron Brate is out injured, and even if he comes back soon, it seems Otton has a role in this offense.
